Increase cooling capacity

Add chilling capacity to existing installations without upsizing chillers or compressors.

Many existing buildings can't get more cooling out of their installation because the chillers are already maxed out — but a chiller upgrade or grid reinforcement is expensive and slow. Cartesian unlocks 20–30 % additional cooling capacity by charging the Thermal Box overnight and discharging through your existing chilled-water loop during the daytime peak. The chillers run more optimized, the building gets more cooling, and the daytime peak load on the grid drops at the same time.

Can we really avoid replacing the chiller?

In most cases yes — for sites with a typical daytime peak and reasonable overnight load shoulders. We model it before quoting.

What happens to chiller wear?

Compressors run for longer periods at a higher average load — typically extending mechanical life with fewer start-stop cycles.

What's the smallest site this makes sense for?

Around 200 kW peak cooling. Below that, savings rarely justify the project.
